The wild gardens of St Davids are open!

We loved being a part of the St Davids City Open Gardens Weekend which took place on 26/27 June after a year off. The event is the brainchild of the fabulous Julia Horton-Mansfield and her husband John Mansfield who run the Really Wild Emporium shop, cafe, soap business, foraging tours and so much more!

12 gardens took part including the fab Erw Dewi / Dewi’s Acre community garden that EcoDewi has helped to establish in collaboration with St Davids Cathedral. And we must say that the team of volunteers in the community garden did an amazing job getting it ready for the weekend showing the amazing work done to date and also what they plan to do going forwards.

Our favourite new sign in the garden drawn by a volunteer’s daughter – Yes Bees, No Slugs, No Snails!

The weekend was complemented by a small Gardeners’ Market in the Cross Square and EcoDewi was really pleased to have a stall there, to help us spread the word about our work and inspire more people to get involved.

Great work by John & Julia and we look forward to helping next year!
